Biography

Dr. Indre Plestyte – Butiene, general pediatrician, pediatric pulmonologist, Ph.D. in allergy and immunology since 2013. Assoc. Professor of Klaipeda University (Lithuania), Faculty of health sciences, CEO of a network of pediatric clinics „Mama, I am ill„ in Lithuania. An experienced pediatrician with a strong interest in children's immunology, microbiota, allergology, and lung diseases. Lecturer, researcher, and motivational speaker, author of the book „Why children get sick and how we can help them “. Her work aims to provide a better understanding of the immune system development in childhood and its crosstalk with microbiota, delivering lectures on Environmental health, the impact of the natural environment (pollution of air, water, soil, anthropogenic food pollution, microbes), meteorological and climatic factors, home environmental and psychosocial health of affected populations to prevent diseases and health affections. High interest is indicated in healthy nutrition, and alimentary physical, chemical, and biological safety.
